The Daily Fix: Wednesday March 31st

No. 1 Star - Jonathan Bernier - Bernier wasn't the guy I would have picked to a) end the Kings recent losing streak and b) start against a team they just can't seem to beat but in a critical matchup for playoff positioning, Bernier got the start and delivered with a 2-0 shutout and stopping all 34 shots.

No. 2 Star - Tuukka Rask - The Bruins were winless against the Devils this season but more importantly are barely hanging on to the 8th and final playoff spot. Rask and the Bruins were able to overcome a 0-0 tie in OT and knock off the Devils for a 1-0 win. Rask stopped all 24 shots he faced.

No. 3 Star - Nik Antropov - Bruins win..check. Rangers win..check. In order to keep pace, the Thrashers had to win last night and with 4:44 in the third Antropov tipped home the game winner. In doing so, he also mathematically eliminated Toronto from postseason contention, a team that shipped him out of town last season.

Other News From Last Night

Marion Gaborik notched his 40th goal of the season last night. Not sure the Rangers as a team have much more than that!!

Henrik Sedin's 3 point night puts him back on top for the NHL's scoring lead.

Jose Theordore let 5 goals in on 31 shots and 3 goals were done in an 11 minute span. And people get on me when I call him "Jose Threeormore"

and finally, and ugly hit on Coyote Derek Morris
